Lessons

English and Western riding lessons are available.
The safety of the rider and horse must be the first consideration, so lessons are begun only after a complete evaluation of the prospective rider's familiarity with horses and level of skill, and before any assignment to a semi-private or group lesson is made.

Beginners are provided instruction in the fundamentals of horse care and management, safety techniques and equine etiquette. The goal of the beginner lesson program is for students to understand both the how and why of the fundamentals of riding. Introduction of new techniques is offered when prior lessons have been mastered, and the rider is evaluated during and after each lesson.

Intermediate and advanced students may wish to upgrade or perfect their skills in the jumping ring, or to compete at the numerous horse shows conducted in the Capital Region.
